Can shared value play a role in re-designing urban slums

Did you know there are more mobile phones in the world than toilets?

With 2.3 billion people living without basic sanitation, internationally recognised water management expert Professor Rebekah Brown will open the 2017 Shared Value Forum and ask us to consider how shared value can help solve this global challenge and transform the lives of millions of the world’s poorest people.

Rebekah, who was recently profiled in the Good Weekend, is the Director of Monash Sustainable Development Institute at Monash University and will draw on her experience and share insights from her current work including re-designing slums in Indonesia and Fiji.
